Head Coach of SCR Academy – Viv Williams

Viv has a passion for teaching and passing on her vast knowledge and experience to her athletes. Having a positive and motivating attitude as a coach goes a long way towards developing well rounded, self motivated and focused athletes. We create a positive learning environment where our athletes feel comfortable, where mistakes made are not wrong but rather seen as learning opportunities.

Viv has experienced triathlon success at Elite and age-group level, on both the national and international scene. She was a member of the South African squad for 2000, and was privileged to race around the world in an effort to gain World ranking points for the Sydney Olympics. Although never making the Olympic start line, Viv has gone on to add World Age-Group Championship titles to her name at various triathlon race distances.

Having coached for the last 20+ years, Viv has loads of experience with youth and adult coaching in individual and group training. Her coaching career started out while she was still racing, training and working as a Ultrasonographer for a private Radiology practice.

Viv has been coaching triathlon, running and swimming fulltime since 2014.

ITU Accredited Level 2 Coach .(International Triathlon Union)

ITU Accredited Coach Facilitator.

Recipient of the ITU Women’s Committee Award of Excellence in 2014.

Triathlon South Africa Board Member since 2014 (TSA)

Athletics South Africa Level 1 Coach (ASA)

Training Peaks University Level 1 Coach (TPU) certified coach
